This is a small shop, so the short version is easy to say. We collect what it takes to get your order to you, and we do not sell any of it.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and the contents of that order. We ask for those things so we can charge the correct amount, pack the right order, ship it to the right place, and reach you if something about it needs sorting out.
If you join our email list, from the signup form or the box at checkout, we keep your email address so we can send you the occasional note, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How payments are handled
Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card number into a form from Stripe on our checkout page. Stripe serves that form and your card number goes straight to Stripe, so it never touches this site's servers, we never see it, and we have no way to store it. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Where order records live
A record of each order is kept in this site's own database, hosted by Cloudflare, so we can look up what was bought, where it went, and whether it shipped. That record is what we use to answer questions about an order later on.
Cloudflare also keeps a log of the requests this site answers, for up to seven days. Each entry records the page that was asked for. The part of a link after the question mark, such as the email address in an unsubscribe link, is left out.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure how the site gets used, which pages people visit and how they arrived. It helps us understand which parts of the shop are working. Google and Cloudflare handle that information under their own privacy policies. Your browser also keeps a note of the site or link that brought you here for 30 days, so that an order you place records where it came from.
Cookies and your browser
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, so it can tell one visit from the next. They last two years from your last visit unless you clear them. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. The checkout form from Stripe sets cookies of its own, which Stripe uses to process the payment and to spot fraud.
Your cart and the note of how you arrived are kept in your browser's own storage rather than in cookies, and they never leave your browser until you check out. You can clear or block any of this in your browser's settings, and the shop works without the analytics cookies.
This site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. The analytics load the same way whatever your browser sends, so if you would rather not be counted, block them in your browser or with an extension.
What we do with your information
We use it to fill your order, to answer you when you write to us, to send you one follow-up email about ten days after an order, and, if you joined the email list, to send you the occasional note. We do not sell it to anyone, and we share it only with the services this shop runs on: Cloudflare, which hosts this site and its database; Stripe, for the payment; Resend, which sends our email, including the notice we get about each new order, the follow-up after an order, and the welcome note to anyone who joins the email list; the carrier that delivers your package; and the analytics described above.
The follow-up asks how the order went and whether we may quote you on the site, and it is the only one that order gets. A subscription renewal gets none, and neither does an address that has unsubscribed from our email list.
Questions and deletion requests
Email orders@dexshrooms.com with any question about your information, or to ask us to delete it, and we will take care of it.
